What is the difference?
Our advice for men
Incontinence is the involuntary loss of urine and/or feces. Although it is common, in both men and women of all ages, incontinence leads to a feeling of shame for many. Fortunately, there are all kinds of incontinence materials that make your life a lot more pleasant. Discover our range of aids for incontinence in men here.
Washable incontinence underwear
This underwear from Robin Underwear is designed for men who suffer from light to moderate urine loss, for example due to dribbling or prostate problems. Washable incontinence underwear looks like regular underwear but offers discreet protection and absorbs urine. After use, it can be washed and reused, which offers a sustainable alternative. Robin underwear offers stylish and comfortable options that are both practical and environmentally friendly.
Bandage or insert
A pad or insert for men is a suitable and discreet solution for moderate incontinence. The pad consists of several layers that absorb urine and stays in place with the help of an adhesive strip. This is similar to panty liners for women, but is not exactly the same. For men, a pad is wider at the front, at the height of the penis. An insert can be worn during the day and at night so that you always maintain a dry and fresh feeling.
Incontinence panties
Suitable for men with heavy incontinence loss during the night and day. Do you prefer not to wear a pad in your underwear? Then incontinence panties or pants for men are also an option. Such panties look like underwear, but offer extra protection against urine loss, especially at night (since you lose more then). In addition, they also help neutralize odors. Incontinence panties fit nicely so that they always stay in place, even during activities.

How do I know how much urine I lose?
1. Weighing method (Pad test)
This is the most common and reliable method of measuring how much urine you lose. In this method, you wear an incontinence product, such as a pad or panties, for a certain period of time (usually 24 hours). Before and after wearing, you weigh the product on an accurate kitchen scale.
- Steps:
- Weigh the dry incontinence product before putting it on.
- Wear the product during the day.
- Weigh the product again after using it.
- The difference in weight (in grams) is equal to the amount of urine you have lost (1 gram = 1 milliliter of urine).
This gives a good picture of your urine loss over a certain period. This test can also be repeated on different days to calculate an average.
