How can you apply for the Incontinence Allowance?

For people with heavy care, it is possible to submit an application via home nurses or the social work department of your health insurance fund . Even if you do not receive home care, there are ways to arrange this and submit your application.

For non-self-employed persons, the application is a little more structured . You can request the application form "Untreatable incontinence -forfait " from your health insurance fund. This form must be completed by your GP and sent to the advisory physician of your regional health insurance fund. It is important to know that this is approved for a period of three years and is revised annually. 

Financial Support: What can you expect? 

The financial benefits of the incontinence benefit can be considerable. For highly dependent persons, the benefit amounts to 575.70 euros per year (in 2023) and is indexed annually. Non-dependent persons receive an amount of 187.90 euros per year (in 2023), which is also indexed annually.
